Another BEAUTIFUL day in Palm Beach!!
I have to say that I am BEYOND stoked tonight!!!! I went out riding today and broke my personal best time for 10 miles!!!! Back on August 4th I rode 10.24 miles at an average speed of 10.9 mph in 56 minutes 9 seconds.
Do you know what I did TODAY???? ....wait for it.....I rode 10.1 miles at an average speed of 13.0 mph in 45 minutes 21 seconds!!!!!! It may not sound like a big deal, but I'm telling you - 42 days ago I was barely able to ride 2 miles without feeling like I was going to have a heart attack and 8 mph seemed like an unattainable goal. To see what it is like now - just really blows my mind! I also want to add here - in case anyone is interested, a tool I use, (you can see the GPS maps I've posted), is Map My Fitness! It is AWESOME!
Now on the other side of that coin, I have failed thus far to begin documenting my food using My Fitness Pal - mainly for the reason that I'm a terrible procrastinator. But I know that a HUGE tool to staying on target is in documenting what I eat and My Fitness Pal is an AWESOME tool in accomplishing that. It is very motivating because it lets you know what your outcome "can" be based on what you are or are not doing and makes a really BIG impact where motivation is concerned!
I'm also going to begin in the next week using a food plan I purchased and began using about a year ago...but never really followed as outlined. It is called the The Food Lovers Fat Loss System and I liked it because it is NOT a diet. It is actually well worth the money (about $110) - it has several easy to read and follow books, workout DVD and rather than giving a "diet plan"...it using information and diagrams that literally TEACH you how to eat healthy! THIS is something I am really pretty clueless on. I will share more once I begin using it again.
Last couple of things I wanted to share is that if anyone that reads this uses My Fitness Pal, you can locate me by the name: FitNFabulousByFifty!
