DAY 15 - VICTORY OVER LIMITATIONS!

The last couple of days have been REALLY busy. There have been  a lot of successes and there have been some, that were not as much. My sweet Larry Wayne went out of town to visit his best friend and his girlfriend for her 50th surprise birthday party. I wanted to do something really cool for him, because he ALWAYS does these projects while I'm gone to surprise me - it is AMAZING the things he does (builds). But ultimately I decided the BEST thing I could do is STICK to my "healthy living" in his absence and overall, it has been a success. I got my hair done - it was SO overdue!

I went to one of my FAVORITE local Farmer's Markets "Rorabeck's Plants and Produce" and found so many wonderful fresh vegetables and fruits - ALL so full of color. To the right is "Prickly Fruit"...which I've never had before and am planning on fixing as a treat later tonight!

Across the parking lot was "Taco's Al Carbon"- which I ALWAYS say wrong - HA! (I usually say parts of it: Al's Carbon...Tacos Carbon..). It is a FAV of ours. I ended up getting three tacos...THAT is my confession #1 for this blog. I don't feel bad about it at all though... because it was DELICIOUS!
This is my friend Ashling and she is AMAZING!!!!! She is SUCH an incredible person with a remarkable story. To look at her you would never know that almost 3 years ago she smoked about 1.5 packs a day and got colds a LOT. Then she decided to have a life change and got into some SERIOUS fitness through: Crossfit and Obstacle Course Racing. Watching her go through this life change has and continues to be a HUGE inspiration!

Despite REALLY rainy bad weatherI had some GREAT cycling days and am finding that it is becoming increasingly easier to ride without getting so out of breath as I did early on when we first started. I can remember just riding one mile at about 8, made my chest feel like it was on FIRE. Now I can get up to about 5 miles with an average speed of 11, before I really need to take a break. It just feels SO good! My other accomplishment happened yesterday when I FINALLY reached 10,000 steps in one day! Wooo Hooooo!!!! OH!!! One more thing...My husband and I purchased the INSANITY workout DVD set back in 2012, right before he was hit by a DUI driver...it never caught traction and eventually was just another regret of things undone. Well, I did the Fit Test and am BRINGIN' it BACK!
